Guided snowshoeing tours
Every Friday and Saturday evening, we offer guided snowshoeing tours. Tour leaders from the region take you with them on one-hour and two-hour snowshoeing tours through the fairytale landscape on the wintry Niederhorn. Along the way, there will be a little breather under the starlit sky, with home-made mulled wine. After the tour, a fine fondue awaits you in the Vorsass Mountain Restaurant, before you descend back into the valley with the Niederhorn Cable Car.

Nocturnal sledging fun
A nocturnal sledge ride by moonlight is a very special experience. Every Friday and Saturday evening, the sledging by moonlight takes place on the Niederhorn. Lanterns mark the 3 km sledging route from the Niederhorn to Vorsass Mid-Station. You can sledge down the mountain as often as you wish, and ride up again with the gondola lift.
You will find even more camaraderie when you go Sledging by Moonlight PLUS, with a joint fondue at the Berghaus Niederhorn, and, for a fine day’s appropriate end, a punch or mulled wine at Vorsass Mountain Restaurant.
Groups as from 20 persons can (if they register in advance) book the Sledging by Moonlight and Sledging by Moonlight PLUS on other weekdays, too, and exclusively for themselves.

Sledging on the Niederhorn is a memorable experience for the young and adults alike! The 3 km sledging route leads through wintry forests and snowy mountain landscapes. The sledging route of medium difficulty can also be done by beginners. Sledges can be rented at the Mountain Station.

Various different hikes of various lengths lead through the varied Niederhorn scenery. Hike along the ridge, towards the next peak. Or choose the route downhill, back into the valley. Whatever you do, hiking on the Niederhorn will provide you with countless moments of happiness and unique experiences of nature. Indigenous flowers and plants line the route. And it is not all that rare to observe chamois and ibex close up.

Observing wildlife
Stay on the lookout together, and, when observing wildlife on the Niederhorn, discover the indigenous wild animals from close up. A local guide takes you on an Alpine safari every Wednesday and Friday morning from July to September. For groups, we also offer wildlife observation on other days.

Our tip
Book the “Niederhorn Experience” and enjoy the Niederhorn with maximum flexibility. This offer includes the transportation ticket and the scooter rental in summer or the sledge rental in winter. This means you can decide spontaneously on the spot which sections you would like to hike, or to complete by scooter-bike or by sledge.

School classes (with pupils up to the age of 16) taking part in a wildlife observation get a 50% discount on the scooter hire. In general, the 10th person also pays the scooter hire fee. There are no further discounts.
